Commerce students can also join pilot training provided they satisfy the minimum educational qualification required for the same. The essential educational qualification required for becoming a pilot is 12th from any recognised board with PCM as subjects. Now since you've done your class 12 from commerce stream, at present you are not eligible for the course. But you may satisfy the eligibility if you appear for PCM as additional subjects in the next board exam. Once you get PCM on your board marksheet with 50% marks. You shall be able to enroll for pilot training.

Hi, Rajiv Gandhi Aviation Academy is a decent college. As of now, the placements are average, but that's not a precedent for the upcoming years. Regards.

Hi,
Training in commercial flying can be taken with flying clubs, the Rashtriya Udan Academy, Private Flying academies or with flying schools abroad.
The training goes through 3 stages of license. While training institutions impart training, they do not provide job placements.
Licenses have to be procured in the following order:
Student Pilot License (SPL) Private Pilot License (PPL)Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
After Class XI/XII (with PCM) students can apply for the SPL
On passing Class XII (PCM) they may enroll for the next license -PPL
On getting the PPL training begins for CPL

Hi Veena!
The 1-year Diploma will give you better job prospects than a 6 months' course. 1-year course holds more credibility.
