Flying Pilot is an excellent career option. There is a general shortage of trained and experienced Pilots worldwide. Majority of pilot's requirement is in Asia Pacific region. Commercial Pilots are paid one of the best salaries in India with other perks.
Following are two options to become pilot in India:
(a) Commercial Pilot: You can become Commercial Pilot by joining Pilot (Flying) trainings schools. Following are the basic eligibilities criteria to become Commercial Pilot:
I. You should have completed the 10+2 with physics, chemistry, maths as your major subjects.
ii. You must have scored 50 percentage of marks in above mentioned education.
(b) Flying Pilot in Indian Air Force: You can join Indian Air Force Flying branch by appearing for CDS after Science or Engineering graduation degree.

General eligibility criterion for Air Hostess in majority of airlines is as follows: (a) 10+2 pass from a recognised board of education. Some airlines prefer graduates.(b) Age of candidate should be between 18 to 25 years (c) Min height required is 157.5 centimetres and weight should be in proportion to height(d) Good Communication skills with mastery over spoken Hindi, English. Foreign language certification will be good additional qualification.
Indian national Carriers such as Air India, Jet etc scrutinise applications and conduct written test comprising of general knowledge, mental ability and verbal ability for shortlisted candidates. This is followed by an interview and group discussion.
International airlines conduct a preliminary interview during which the measurement of height and weight of the applicants is checked and candidates then take a written test which consists of general knowledge, mental ability, language ability (including vocabulary, listening, reading, speaking test for Hindi and English). This is followed by a main interview, during which the candidate's language fluency, diction, voice, communication skill, personality and reaction to adverse situations is assessed. Candidates are expected to have good knowledge of the aviation industry.
