hi,
With a BITSAT score of 202/450, getting B.Tech Electrical Engineering at Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani main campuses may be difficult because EE cutoffs are usually higher. However, admission chances can vary depending on the campus, iteration rounds, and yearly cutoff trends. You may still have opportunities in some dual degree, MSc, or lower cutoff branches depending on seat availability.
Lovely Professional University is also a strong option for engineering aspirants. The university offers industry-oriented B.Tech programs with modern laboratories, practical learning, internships, and strong placement support fr

A straight answer: if your goal is less academic load + decent career options, then among CSE, ECE, EE, the usual reality is:
- CSE (Computer Science) → the lightest relative load (more logic + coding, less hardcore physics/math hardware)
- ECE (Electronics & Communication) → Medium load (mix of coding + electronics, can get tough)
- EE (Electrical Engineering) → the heaviest load (core physics, circuits, math-heavy, more demanding)

Dear reader,
Candidates must normally register on the University of Mumbai portal and then fill out the online application form in order to guarantee a spot at Gogate Jogalekar College, Ratnagiri. Merit is the main criterion for admission, and the university's verification timetable is followed. Lovely Professional University (LPU) offers an extraordinarily advanced academic atmosphere for engineering, even though this institution offers a strong foundation. LPU's top-notch labs, emphasis on experiential learning, and wide range of international placement options guarantee that students are well-prepared for prestigious professional em

With a JEE Main percentile of 90.94 and CRL rank ~1.4 Lacs (female, general category), you have realistic chances in mid-tier NITs (later rounds), state government colleges, and strong private universities in Tamil Nadu and Bangalore for ECE/EEE. Top NITs/IIITs are unlikely, but good regional options exist.
College Options in Tamil Nadu
Government Colleges (Anna University Affiliated)
- College of Engineering, Guindy (CEG), Chennai – Highly competitive; ECE/EEE cutoff usually <30k rank, so difficult.
- PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore – Strong placements in ECE/EEE; cutoff ~50k–70k, borderline but possible in later rounds.
- Thiagarajar College of Engin

The last cutoff for Electrical Engineering (EE) at MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur (REAP 2025) was around JEE Main rank 25,000–45,000 in the General category, with lower ranks accepted for reserved categories. With your 67 percentile in JEE Main (approx. rank ~3.5–4 lakh) and 94.8% in Class 12th, admission to EE at MBM through the main rounds is unlikely, but you may still have a chance in spot rounds or through lower-demand branches.
MBM EE Cutoff Snapshot (2025 Expected)
| Branch | General Category | OBC-NCL | SC | ST | EWS |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Electrical Engineering (EE) | 25,000–45,000 rank | ~50,000 | ~70,000 | ~90,000 | ~40,000 |
(Note: Percentile-to-rank conversion varies yearly; 67%ile ≈ 3.5–4 lakh rank, which is outside the cutoff range for EE in MBM.)

I don't have detailed guidance about SKCT specifically, but I can guide you regarding Lovely Professional University (LPU).
However, just for a general idea, BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) is a solid course with long-term scope. At SKCT, placements are considered decent, with average packages around ₹5–6 LPA and top recruiters like Bosch, Accenture, and Cognizant visiting the campus. But many reports suggest that most opportunities are in IT roles rather than core electrical jobs, which is a common trend in many colleges.
Now talking about LPU, the EEE programme is designed with a strong industry-

I don't have specific detailed guidance about BIT Mesra Jaipur in depth, but I can still give you a general idea and guide you better regarding Lovely Professional University (LPU).
Based on available data, placements at BIT Mesra (including Jaipur campus) are considered decent but vary by branch and performance. For Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), the placement rate is around 65–70%, with an average package close to ₹9–10 LPA in recent reports, while overall campus averages can go around ₹9–11 LPA. Recruiters include companies like IBM, Infosys, L&T, and Tata Power, and both core and IT
