The hostel community at Rayat Bahra University is fairly diverse with students coming from various states as well as international students, many of whom settle in comfortably despite being far from home. This suggests that adjusting from Chennai should not pose a major challenge, especially with the support structure in place. Facilities such as 24 hours security, Wi-Fi access and separate hostels for boys and girls help ease the initial transition. Most students typically find their footing within the first few weeks, particularly if they get involved in hostel or campus activities early on.

It cuts down on the commute by 2 to 3 hours every day through traffic in Chennai. Online CLAT Coaching is also far more economical than attending classes physically. The disadvantage is that attending classes physically in places such as Adyar, Anna Nagar, or Velachery will offer the much-needed competitive atmosphere and physical discipline. It all depends on the individual's self-motivation.

It depends on your lifestyle but for most students it is doable. Hostel and PG in Chennai range from approximately INR 5,000 – INR 15,000 a month depending on the area and the facilities. Food, travel and other daily expenses add in. For its share it is still one of the few cities in India where it is relatively comfortable for a student (compared to say Mumbai or Bangalore), especially if you are sharing accommodation.
