Yes, type of course and aptitude of the candidate also plays a huge role. Make sure that you research well about an Institute/College, before taking admission in it. The first thing you should check is whether the Institute you are interested is approved and recognized by the appropriate authorities or not! Before selecting a particular course, make sure that you have the aptitude and ability to thrive in the role associated with that course. For example- not everyone can become a Commercial Pilot! If you dont have the aptitude to become a Pilot, it would be better to choose another Aviation course!
1 B.B.A. IN AIRPORT MANAGEMENT
= It is a 3 years long Undergraduate management program. The good news is that many B.B.A. programs allows students to specialize in certain area/discipline. In our case, it is a program that focuses on the running and management of an Airport. If one is keen on improving ones qualifications, then he/she may also go for an M.B.A. Degree after completing this B.B.A. program.
2 DIPLOMA IN AIRPORT MANAGEMENT
This is a Diploma course that lasts 1 year and focuses solely on the area of Airport Management. While it does a better job in dealing with the technical details, when compared to B.B.A. program, I must also admit that this Diploma Degree doesnt possess as much value as the B.B.A. program does. A good way to solve this problem is by going for a Post Graduate Diploma in Airport Management after finishing any Graduation course!B.B.A. in Airport Management trains students to take on Managerial and Administrative posts in an Airport.

Training And Expenses - The Basic Prerequisites:
I. You must complete your Class XII under the 10+2 system or its equivalent with a minimum of 50 per cent marks in Mathematics and Physics.
ii. You must be minimum 16 years of age to be eligible for a Private Pilot License and 17 for a Commercial Pilot License.
iii. Your vision in one eye must be perfect. In general medical terminology, it is called 6/6 eyesight. In the other eye, you could have an imperfection of 6/9, which must be correctable to 6/6.
iv. General physical fitness is mandatory. You must be free of any disease that can hamper normal function.
Student Pilot License:
I. You must appear for a written theory examination in Air Regulations, Aviation Meteorology and Air Navigation and Air Technical.
ii. You must obtain a medical certificate of fitness from doctors designated by the Director General of Civil Aviation. Only two bodies in India - Air Force Central Medical Establishment in New Delhi and the Institute of Aviation Medicine, Bangalore - are authorised to give you a medical fitness certificate.
iii. You have to get a security clearance.
iv. You will need to appear for an oral examination and an aptitude test.
v. If the medical clearance comes through and you clear the exams, you will be granted the SPL.
Damages: You must furnish a bank guarantee of Rs 10,000.
Private Pilot Licence:
i. Post attaining the SPL, you will be assigned an instructor to start flying lessons. You will be taught the basics of flying and your instructor will accompany you on flights.
ii. After about 15 hours of flying with an instructor, i.e. dual flying, you can fly solo and go cross-country as well.
iii. To obtain a Private Pilot License, you have to fly a minimum of 60 hours. Of this, at least 20 hours should be solo flying and 5 hours should be cross-country flights.
iv. You will also need to appear for the written theory examinations in subjects like air regulations, aviation meteorology, air navigation, aircraft engines and seamanship.
v. You will need to obtain the medical fitness certificate from the AFCME or IAM.
vi. You must be at least 17 years old.
viii. You must have passed Class XII or equivalent exam with Physics, Maths and Chemistry as your subjects.
Damages: Per hour cost of flying is quite steep: about Rs 3,500.
To get a PPL, you need at least 60 hours of flying. Thus the total cost of obtaining a PPL will be INR 2 lakhs (Rs 200,000).

Indian Air Force had hierarchical organizational structure. Freshers are commissioned in IAF in the rank of Flying Officer in various branches such as flying, technical, admin, logistics, met, education and medical etc. Officers grow in rank with experience and performance as Flt Lt, Sqn Ldr, Wg Cdr, Go Capt, Air Cmde, ACM, Air Marshal and Air Chief Marshal. All branches commissioned officers are eligible to grow to the rank of Air Commodore in about 25 to 30 years from the date of commission based on performance. Officers in the rank of Air Commodore command large flying bases, repair depots and training institutes besides performing staff roles. Air Commodore is equivalent to Brigadier in Army and Commodore in Navy.

Airport management includes all activities performed at an airport i.e., facility management, security, coordination and monitoring of aviation safety, aircraft parking and refueling, air traffic control, environment issues, catering, baggage and cargo handling and businesses activities at international and domestic airports.

The average salary of an airport manager is Rs.76, 000 and for maintenance manager, it is Rs.24, 000.
