Yes, there is a difference between B.A. Economics and Economics Honors, where the former would cover the basics of Economics; Later would give you the in-depth knowledge of Economics. Although, the scope of a programme is a very subjective term which would largely depend on your own caliber and the capacity to perform but Eco (Honors) student would definitely have an upper hand when it comes to career opportunities. Also, the salary structure would vary again depending on your performance on the programme and how you use the knowledge earned through the degree.

You should have completed your 10+2 from a recognized education board, with a minimum of 50% marks in order to be eligible for BA in economics. For the entrance test, you must be prepared with all the economics that you studied in the 11th and 12th standard. If you remember that by heart, you will certainly clear the exam. Also, stay up to date with the current affairs.
