Dear Student, In India, there are 2 ways you can pursue law:
1. 5 Year Integrated Degree, you may pursue this after finishing your 12th. The stream you belong to does not matter. You may apply for CLAT (Common Law Admission Test). But before applying for the test, you need to prepare yourself for it. There are 5 subjects which you need to be thorough with:
English (40 marks)
Logical Reasoning (40 marks)
G. K. (Both Current Affairs and Static G. K) (50 marks)
Legal Reasoning (50 marks)

2. 3 Year Course

Dear Supriya, you can migrate to LPU but there are certain conditions which has to be satisfied:
Candidate must have completed his/her 1st year without any backlog/reappear. Candidate must have the minimum percentage required for eligibility qualification of the current year (in which a student is seeking migration). Student has to submit Migration Certificate and character Certificate from the head of present institute/university from which he/she is migrating. Mapping of transcripts will be processed and for this one has to pay Course mapping charges in LPU. If this goes well and there are no issues in course mapping, Candidate can join the university at any time during an academic year.

There are many law entrance exams that take place for different colleges and universities. The widely accepted one is CLAT. It is conducted by the National Law Universities. The score is accepted by many other law colleges other than the NLUs.
Many other exams are conducted for each university, it varies state wise also. So you have to first choose a college and then give the required exams. CLAT has basically these sections which you need to prepare:

The other exams have more or less the same pattern except in some, mathematical aptitude is not required. But the patterns and syllabus keep on changing. So do a good research before going for it. And lastly a piece of advice that, don't just go for every single law exam. It will ruin the quality of your preparation. Have some set goals and prepare accordingly. MDU conducts own entrance exam for admission in Integrated B.A. LL.B. Programme. The questions in the Entrance Examination for admission to a programme will be of the standard which a student, having passed qualifying examination for admission to that programme, is expected to answer.
