No, university will write down a on a piece of paper that placements are guaranteed. Lot of promises are made through websites, but it's only your academic records and Internships that decide where you end up. Packages are decided on the basis of the firms, company's, independent practitioners that are invited through the placement programme; and not all students get the opportunity to sit for placements (only shortlisted candidates do).
