Entrance exam is mandatory. So your BA pass percentage meets the requirements of the DU eligibility criteria for MA in English

Eligibility: The candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board.
Physical Education, Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Vocational, Non-Written subjects will not be considered while calculating the aggregate.

My frank opinion us that it has more if a snob value. Of course, others can have different opinions. I feel recruiters don't care whether you have graduated with honours or normally.
