Hello,
Yes, polytechnic Diploma is equivalent to intermediate, which is 12th. You can get admission in B.Sc or BA degree course in lateral entry mode after clearing polytechnic diploma course.

Hi,
Mechanical engineering is mother of engineering stream.
Now as you have completed your diploma, the question arises in mind that what to do next. Should I go for some short term course (of 1 year), or should I opt for BE or B.Tech in mechanical engineering? Or should I start searching for government or private jobs, instead? These are some of the questions after having diploma in mechanical engineering.

Hi Sanju,
There are many options to venture into to be a part of the tourism sector; public and private. The following are some of the profiles one can look into:
Tourism Department: There are jobs as Reservation and counter staff, Sales and marketing staff, Tour Planners and Tour guides. There is also the requirement of Information assistants at the office of the Tourism departments who are selected through competitive examinations held by the Staff Selection Commission. The option of working as a Guide is also listed under the tourism department as the Ministry of Tourism recognizes three types of guides; regional, state and local.

Hello Prerana,You have obtained first class in 12th. This is definitely good. But these days cutoffs have increased tremendously. But don't worry. Firstly apply for admission in local college and check last year's cutiff. If nothing works then you do have option of doing BA from IGNOU via distance education mode!
