There are several documents that need to be attached to the application form. These documents have two-fold purposes: first, proving eligibility, and second, they will also enable the application process to go as smoothly as possible. Those candidates who are seeking admission to the BA course at MLACW must provide the following documents:
- Application form duly filled with a passport-size photograph
- Three passport-size photographs
- Attested copy of the SSLC/Class 10 mark sheet
- Attested copy of the qualifying examination (II PUC/Class 12)
- Attested copy of the Migration certificate for students from outside Karnataka

The admission process to the BA programme at Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College for Women does not consider any entrance examination. The process is based on merit, which is computed according to the marks obtained in the qualifying examination in Class 12. Applicants must have completed their Class 12 education with a duly recognised board. There are no entrance tests separately required for BA admissions to the college. Yes, students can get into the MLACW's Bachelor of Arts programme if they secure 50% in the Class 12 examinations. Any candidate who has passed Class 12 education in any stream is eligible for admission. Admission is completely merit-based. Hence, it depends on the marks secured in the qualifying examination. Candidates meeting the minimum percentage requirement are eligible to apply for the BA programme in MLACW.

MLACW offers a BA programme in four specialisations. These specialisations are : Psychology, Journalism and Sociology; History, Economics and Political Science; Kannada, Sociology and Political Science; and History, Economics and Sociology. All these specialisations are unique and comprehensive because they include all of the basic subfields related to the respective stream. Thus allowing students to delve deeper into areas of their interest and learn more about these subjects. In case you’ve passed your supplementary exam, you can still apply for admission to St. Bede's College for BA. However, the college's admission policy and eligibility criteria will come into play. In most cases, colleges accept only those students who get qualified in the same year but a number of them may accept past exam passing students including those who took supplementary exams. To confirm this, it is recommended that you reach out St. Bede’s College directly to inquire about its admission policy concerning supplementary exams. Yes, you can change your course from B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) to B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science) but you have to fulfil the eligibility criteria for the B.Sc. programme and you have to check whether seats are available for B. Sc course. Not every college accept this course change because of their rules and regulations. But in some colleges there is an option before the starting of your course to change the course, it is called as the programme transfer option.

Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University’s many affiliated colleges offer BA courses. As per official sources, the constitution of all colleges results in an intake of 13,000+ seats. Out of all the affiliated colleges/institutes, Veerashaiva College boasts the highest intake with 1,080 seats. Students must note that this seat intake has been sourced from official sources. However, it is subject to change.
