The Exam pattern for the BA in Theatre is same as any Arts Course in India. Following is the overview of the BA in Theatre Entrance exam pattern:
- Written Test – Includes general knowledge, theatre-related questions, aptitude and essay writing.
- Practical Audition – Performance of a monologue, mime or improvisation exercise.
- Interview – Questions on theatre history, famous playwrights and personal aspirations.

Candidates interested to pursue BA Theatre Arts/BA Music course through Calicut University Common Admission Test (CUCAT) should have should have done Class 12 from Kerala State Board or a recognised board in any stream and should have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate. With CUCAT, candidates can get admission in various other courses. Candidates are suggested to check the Shiksha's page to know about detailed eligibility criteria.

- Here is some information about the latest cutoff for a B.A. in Theatre at UniPune:
- UniPune Cutoff 2023: The cutoff for a B.A.+M.A. in Theatre (Five Years Integrated) is 390.25.
- Unipune MHT CET Cutoff 2023: The opening percentile for General, OBC, SC, and ST is 83.53, 96.95, 94.57, and 89.61, respectively. The closing percentile for General, OBC, SC, and ST is 97.07, 96.88, 94.11, and 82.55, respectively.
- SET Exam: The SET Exam requires a minimum of 35% aggregate marks in both papers.
The reservation criteria for the BA program at Pune University is as follows:- SC/ST/OBC & DTNT: 50% of seats
