Yes, Mangalore University offers BCom courses through its campus and affiliated colleges. The university is affiliated with 190 colleges, from which many of the colleges offer BCom courses. These courses are offered in several specialisations. BCom courses at Mangalore University are divided into three years, divided into six semesters, and mostly offered in full-time mode. The basic eligibility criteria required by the university to get an admission into BCom courses is candidates must complete their Class 12 from any stream and recognised board of education.

To be eligible for admission to  BCom (Hons.) at KCC Institute of Legal and Higher Education candidates are required to Pass  Class 10 and Class 12 or equivalent with 50% aggregate with a pass in five subjects (One language and four elective subjects). Further, candidates must appear for the accepted entrance exam IPUCET/CUET. After fulfillment of the eligibility criteria, candidates are required to visit the official website of the KCC Institute to apply online.

As per K J Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce placement stats 2023, the institute witnessed the participation of 28 companies during the placement drive held in the year 2023. Apart from this, the average package scored by students during the same placement drive stood at INR 3.05 LPA.

The number of students placed was 73. Other than this, some of the top leading companies that visited the campus were JP Morgan & Chase, TCS, KPMG, and many others.

K J Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce offers a high number of seats for the BCom course. At KJSAC, a total of 1080 seats are available for admission to the BCom programme. The allocation of seats is done based on the institute's admission policy. Moreover, the distribution of these seats is also subject to the reservation policy followed by the institute.

K J Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce releases the cutoff for the BCom course based on Class 12 marks. As per the cutoff data for 2024, the last round cutoff to get into the BCom programme was 75. Earlier in the year 2023, the cutoff for the BCom course stood at 84.5. This flucatuatin indicates decreased competition.

Once the KJSAC application portal is closed, the admissions committee prepares a merit list. This list contains the names of students selected for BCom admissions based on their Class 12 marks. Students who find their names in the list must report to the institute and complete the formalities required to secure their seat.
