Alagappa University allot seats on a merit-basis to the UG programme. It follows the reservation policy prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu. There are 5% of seat reservation for the differently-abled students (Government Letter No.12599/K2/2017-1, dated 21.07.2017). Class 12 examination from a Board/ University established by law in India with Maths/ Economics as compulsory subjects.

The fees of BCom at KJ Somaiya College of Science & Commerce is around INR 39,300. The Tuition fee is calculated on the basis of 1st year. KJ Somaiya fee structure is categorised in four group, i.e., Open, Freeship, Scholarships, and Out of Maharashtra/ External.
