The tuition fee for BDes courses at NIFT Hyderabad ranges from INR 6.1 Lacs to INR 12.3 lakh, and the tuition fee for M.BDes at NIFT Chennai ranges from INR 9 Lacs to INR 12.3 lakh. Conclusively, the tuition fees of NIFT Hyderabad is more affordable than NIFT Chenai. However, the fee structure can be only one component that candidates consider while comparing these colleges but several factors can be taken into account while choosing the best college, such as placement packages, seats, ranking of that particular institute, affiliation, accreditation, etc.

Yes, NIFT Hyderabad does follow seat reservation for BDes courses. The seats are reserved for SC/ ST/ Persons With Disabilities (PWD) / Foreign Nationals /SAARC / NRI, in BDes programme. Check out the below table to learn more about the seat allocated to reserved categories below:

Currently, NIFT Hyderabad has not released the cutoff for the BDes in Fashion Communication course 2025 on the basis of NIFTEE ranks/scores. However, to get an idea about the competitiveness of the cutoff in the previous years, candidates can check the below table:

In conclusion, the table shows that when comparing the years 2023 and 2024, the competition increases and the ranks decrease. At the time of filling out the NIFT application process for the BDes course, candidates are required to attach several important documents in digital form. Moreover, candidates are required to submit some of the following documents at the time of document verification. Some of the important documents include: 

  • Certificates of qualifying examination
  • In case the candidate has appeared for the qualifying examination and the result is due, the candidate can bring the admit card or date sheet.
  • Proof of DOB
  • Caste Certificate with candidate's name
  • Medical certificate to be signed by a registered medical practitioner in prescribed format.

NIFT Hyderabad BDes admission is based on the NIFT entrance exam, and the admission cycle also commences with the release of the notification of the NIFT entrance exam. As per the information available on the official website of the institute, the application window is expected to open in November and close by December of the academic year.

The selection process for BDes courses at NIFT Hyderabad involves the candidates' performance in the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) entrance exam comprising a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT). Moreover, the selected candidates are requied to appear in campus for a Studio Test and followed by a PI. Candidates applying for NIFT Hyderabad must visit the official website of NIFT to register for the entrance test.
