No, candidates who wish to apply for MDes courses at Pearl Academy Mumbai are not required to have a BDes degree beforehand.
All candidates who have cleared an undergraduate course in any discipline are eligible to apply for the MDes course at Pearl Academy Mumbai. The eligibility criteria is the same for all MDes specialisations offered by Pearl Academy Mumbai.

No, candidates who wish to apply for any BDes course at Pearl Academy Mumbai are required to appear for the Pearl Academy written exam. Candidates who manage to secure high enough ranks during the exam will be evaluated further on the basis of the performance in the personal interview round.

The BDes course with the lowest fees at Pearl Academy in 2026 is the BDes in Textile Design course. This course shares the same total one-time payments of INR 82,000 with the other BDes courses. However, the tuition fees for BDes in Textile Design is noticably lower than the other courses at INR 15,86,400.

The fees for the BDes in Fashion Designing at Pearl Academy Mumbai is comprised of tuition fees and one-time payments. The one-time payments are a combination of application fees and admission fees.

The Pearl Academy Mumbai only requires candidates to pursue only one internship after the 4th semester. The students will be evaluated for their internship at Pearl Academy Mumbai during the final exams of the 5th year.
While the Pearl Academy Mumbai BDes curriculum only requires candidates to pursue one internship, we recommend pursuing more for a better future portfolio.

The Pearl Academy Mumbai personal interview round is scheduled to take place in four days near the end of January in 2026. The Pearl Academy Mumbai personal interview round is scheduled on Jan 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25th 2026.

The Pearl Academy Written exam for the BDes admissions is scheduled in three days near the middle of January for 2026. These dates are the Jan 17th, 18th and 19th 2026. These dates are Saturday, Sunday and Monday respectively. Candidates will know the exact date for their scheduled exam when the admit card is released.
