No, having a portfolio is not mandatory in the BDes in Interior Design admission process. Portfolios are generally required at the time of higher programme admissions. A portfolio contains a sample of your work like sketches, drawings, photographs of finished projects, work experience, recognitions, etc.

Hi, there are no mandatory skills you should learn to be eligible for a BDes Interior Designing course, however, some basic skills are essential to have while opting for a creative programme like Interior Design. For instance, a creative approach, good observational skills, artistic visualization, sketching ability, time management, etc., will help you learn better and grow in your field.

The major difference between BDes Interior Design and BSc Interior Design is that BSc is focused on the technical and scientific elements of Interior Design and usually works for its mathematical and engineering principles. Meanwhile, BDes focused on the specialisation's artistic and creative side
So, it depends on your interests and career choices, whether you want to go for BDes in Interior Design or BSc in Interior Design.
