The total tuition fees of BDes at Dr. D.Y. Patil School of Design is around INR 12 lakh. This is just the tuition fee. Candidates are also charged for hostel, one-time payments and other fees. Candidates are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats.

 Approx 99% of students secure placement.The highest income package offered is between INR 11-12 lakhs per annum, with an average package of INR 7 lakhs per annum and a minimum package of around INR 4 lakhs.Students are placed in various textile and design companies, including well-known brands in the sector.

To be eligible for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program at NIFT, you must have finished your 10+2 education with a recognised board such as CBSE, ISC, or any state board. You must be under 24 years old as of August 1st of the year of admission, with a 5-year age relaxation for SC, ST, and PWD candidates. In addition, you must take and pass the NIFT entrance exam, which is administered by the National Testing Agency.

The cutoff rank for B.Des (Fashion Design) at NIFT Delhi in 2024 was 577 for the OBC category1. Cutoffs for general category students on various schools often range between 450 and 550.

To get into B.Des in NIFT Kangra, the eligibility criteria must be qualified by stating that "the candidate must have passed 10+2 of any stream Science/Commerce/Arts from a recognized board of respective state. The upper age limit is 23 years, but SC/ST/PwD candidates are provided with an age relaxation of up to 5 years." And admission will be taken based on scores obtained in the NIFT entrance exam. To study BDes at IIT Bombay, candidate must appear in the UCEED and attain the require the neccessary rank. IIT Bombay BDes Cutoff 2025 among the General AI category candidates was 14, in the first round. In 2024 also, the cutoff rank for admission to BDes at IIT Bombay was 14

Among the OBC AI category candidates, the cutoff rank was closed at 13. The cutoff rank for the OBC AI category candidates was 16 in 2024.

Yes, the Banasthali Vidyapith BDes programme is open for admission to NRI candidates. However, the university provides only a limited number of seats for foreign/NRI-sponsored candidates. The eligibility criteria for the aforementioned candidates differ from others. NRI candidates must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying examination. Moreover, such candidates must provide the following documents:

  • Original certificates/marksheets of the qualifying examination.
  • Attested photocopies of the passport and visa of the applicant's NRI Sponsor
