Yes, admission to the B.E. / B.Tech course at M.S. Engineering College is possible without JEE Main. The college takes entrance exams other than KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) and COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka) for admitting students. Students may get a seat based on the merit secured in these state-level entrance exams, and admissions are strictly based on merit. Although some institutions accept JEE Main, M.S. Engineering College offers alternative routes through regional entrance exams, which gives flexibility to students who did not appear for JEE Main.

The eligibility criteria for the B.E. / B.Tech course at M.S. Engineering College are as follows: pass in 10+2 in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (or equivalent) with the prescribed minimum percentage of marks. Admission is done on merit through entrance tests such as KCET or COMEDK conducted at the state level, or the national level entrance test, JEE Main. Candidates are then shortlisted in the basis of entrance exam, and a merit list is done. Those selected are given further counseling where they are seated according to one's rank and preferences.
