When you do B.Pharma it makes complete sense to pursue Pharma MBA rather than General MBA. In general MBA, you are required to choose the functional area among marketing, hr, operations, IT or finance whereas in the Pharma MBA programme, you will do MBA in your own domain. The Pharma MBA will open lots of opportunities in pharma, devices, diagnostics, health insurance & hospitals. There will be no confusion about the choice of sector.

Ayurveda is catching up very fast and has a great future as a specialization. However, please give a thought as to what you aspire to be, in which functional area, whether marketing, R&D, pharmacovigilance, manufacturing?

Hello Prashant,
M.Pharma is a 2 year Masters programme which is sort of like specialisation after Bachelor programme (B.Pharma). It is divided into streams like Pharmaceutics, Medicinal Chemistry, Analysis, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacy Practice (these are the major ones few more are there). The first year is academic learning and 2nd year is research focused. B.Pharma is a 4 year Bachelor programme that is the undergraduate level in Pharmacy and builds a base for wide range of topics in industrial, clinical and community setting.
Good luck.

B.Pharma is about study of medicine and study of clinical research for prevention, treatment, diagnosis or for relieving symptoms of a disease. Both are good fields and are in demand always. Go ahead with your choice.

Hi Jainish,
There are many options, PG Diploma or M.Pharma can be done. In Pharmacy itself, you will find many disciplines like clinical pharmacy, industrial pharmacy, regulatory affairs etc. Since you are a B.Pharma student, you will have a better idea of the specializations offered, and accordingly you can decide what to study depending on your interest. Yes, many colleges will offer you admission on basis of IELTS and of course on basis of your Bachelor's degree percentage. No other exams are generally required.
