Rajiv Gandhi institute of IT and Biotechnology offers a BSc in Biotechnology that is extended over three years. The programme curriculum is based on the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS). The curriculum is divided into six semesters. Total Semester tuition fee for B.Tech Biotechnology is INR 1,50,900 and development fee & other charges are INR 68,000, making the total semester fee INR 2,18,900.
To take admission at Thapar University, a candidate must have passed the Class 12th or equivalent examination with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in an aggregate of three subjects, namely, physics, chemistry, and biology.

BSc Biotechnology duration is 3 year. BTech Biotechnology is 4 years long. BSc Biotechnology is more relaxed than BTech. The number of coursework and lab work will be less and you will be introduced to the core subjects right from the first year whereas in BTech 1st year will have common engineering coursework (Refer any university syllabus) with very little or no core subjects.
From 2nd year there will be 6 or 7 coursework and 3 or 4 lab works to complete in each semester. This can change from one university to another but it won't be less than that. Most BSc courses may not include chemical engineering papers which have lots of m
