B.Sc Eligibility

Typically, a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. ) degree in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) is designed for students with a background in computer Science, mathematics, or related fields. While it may be possible for students from a Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) background to pursue such a degree, it might require additional coursework or prerequisites to bridge the knowledge gap in computer Science and programming. B.Sc. AI and ML programs often cover subjects such as programming, data structures, algorithms, mathematics, statistics, machine learning, neural networks, natural language processing, and computer vision. These courses are more aligned with the skill set and knowledge base of students from a computer Science or mathematics background. If you are a PCB student interested in pursuing a B.Sc. degree in AI and ML, it's recommended to thoroughly review the curriculum of the specific programme you are considering. Check if the programme offers foundational courses or prerequisites to help students from non-computer Science backgrounds build the necessary skills in programming, mathematics, and computer Science concepts. Additionally, some universities may offer specialised AI and ML programs that are more accessible to students from diverse backgrounds. These programs may have a more interdisciplinary approach and cover both technical and domain-specific aspects of AI and ML. It's advisable to research and reach out to the universities or institutions offering B.Sc. Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology (PSIT) does not provide the B.Sc. Programme, although the eligibility requirements for other undergraduate courses at PSIT are:
1. B.Tech - Applicants must have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as required subjects along with Chemistry Biology Biotechnology, Technical Vocational as one of the optional subjects. Candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% marks, 40% for SC/ST candidates in the above subjects taken together.
2. B.Pharma Applicants must have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics Chemistry and Mathematics, Biology as compulsory subjects. Candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% marks, 40% for SC/ST candidates in the above subjects taken together.
3. BBA Applicants must have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream with a minimum of 45% marks, 40% for SC/ST candidates.
4. BCA Applicants must have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream with Mathematics as a required subject and a minimum of 45% marks, 40% for SC/ST candidates. Admission to the undergraduate programs at PSIT is based on the candidate's performance in the PSIT entrance examination or any national level entrance examination like JEE Main for B.Tech, UPSEE for B.Pharma and so on.
