B.Sc. Food Technology graduates have job opportunities in the government sector as Food Inspector (INR 35,000-50,000/month through SSC FSSAI exams), Quality Control Officer in FCI, Scientist at CFTRI (INR 50,000 and above).

 In the private sector, students will find units such as Nestlé offering approximately INR 3-6 LPA for Food Technologist, Amul offering between INR 4 and 8 LPA for Quality Assurance Manager, and ITC offering between INR 5 and 10 LPA for an R&D specialist. To be granted admission into JDT Islam College of Arts and Science's B.Sc Food Technology course, applicants should have undergone Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) with a minimum aggregate of 50%. Scheduled Castes (SC) students should have a minimum of 45% since it is just a notch below the regular minimum.
