When you have decided to specialize in culinary I request you to opt for Diploma in Culinary Arts and do more research on culinary. Experience is all that you need to prosper as a Chef. Eligibility for B.Sc in Hospitality Studies is as below. Candidates wishing to apply for the course need to have passed their Higher Secondary Certificate with a minimum of 50% marks in any stream, from a recognized board. After application, some colleges/institutes may hold an entrance test followed by an interview to judge the eligibility of the candidate for the course.

If you are looking for colleges like IHM which fall under government then you have to appear for an entrance but if you want to go for an autonomous institute, they take the internal entrance exam for their college or else in some situations, an entrance exam is not required.

Starting salary for Freshers may be from IONR. 15,000 and above. To get a good package, one should have the best skills to impress the employer. The more you have skills, the better you go back home with the package. These days, during campus placements, hotels choose intern with modern skills and knowledge about hotel industry as Management Trainee. Yes, you can do so but you would not be able to use both the degree together. And it is neither logical to pursue two UG courses.
