It should always be your choice.
As far as job opportunities are considered B.Tech would have an upper hand if done from a reputed institute like IIT, NIT, Lovely professional University, SRM university etc.But if you would like to go for Higher studies and you don't want to pursue engineering you can choose B.Sc. . It will be a time consuming process then.

If you wish to pursue mathematics, go for msc mathematics and then NET to become a professor. Masters in statistics will lead you to be eligible for ISS ( Indian statistical Services) at par with IES.
Mba is the most traditional option.

I think you are confused about taking up stream in grad level. u are likely to b puzzled between english and maths. english is a arts and language domain subject whereas maths is a science domain subject.
