Yes, many top Design colleges like LPU and NIFTs offer lateral entry to BDes and BSc Design course for various specializations. However, the eligibility criteria for lateral entries may differ from the regular eligibility requirements.
For instance, the qualifying age for BDes lateral entry at NIFTs is 24 years, and 5 years relaxation for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribe/ Persons With Disabilities (PWD) categories.

To become eligible for the BSc programme, the candidate must meet the course-specific eligibility criteria. They must have completed their Class 12 with at least 50% to 60% aggregate from any recognised board. The selection of the candidates depends on the score obtained in the last qualifying exam, followed by the PI round. Additionally, the selection for some specialisation is entrance-based. IIHM Kolkata course fee is cumulative of several components, which are either one-time chargeable or have to be paid semester-wise/annually. Some of these components can be tuition fee, security deposit, and more. After final selection, students have to pay the first semester fee or the admission fee amount. Moreover, in order to apply successfully, an application fee of INR 600 has to be paid. This fee is however as per past years' data and hence, is indicative.
