I don't think so. In order to join MCA, a candidate need not necessarily be from BCA. In order to join MCA candidate must have maths in +2 as one of the subjects. You may feel some problem with programming language.

Dear Govind,
B.Sc in nautical Science is a niche course to pursue. After completion of the course, you should undergo the 1 year long sea service. After the sea service and clearing the subsequent oral examination, you can obtain the second mates Foreign-going Certificate of Competency. This certificate will enable you to hold the post of 'Navigation Officer' on merchant navy ships.

Mostly, I prefer B.Tech for better career growth. With the practical knowledge, you may get plenty of job opportunities along with high salary package. Whereas, B.Sc is inclined more towards the theoretical aspect.
