B.Tech Biotechnology is a 4 Years course, which deals with technological applications in Biology while B.Sc. Biotechnology is a 3-year course. Later, students can go for M.Sc. Course and then Research later. If you want to pursue Research Career like Plant Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, etc. Then choose B.Sc/M.Sc Biotechnology. Then Ph.D. if interested.

The four-year B.Tech. Curriculum focuses on the technological applications in biology. The three-year B.Sc. Course is conducted as any other Science subject and the students can go for the M.Sc. Course and take up research later. The B.Tech Course is a better option. After a B.Tech degree, students can find jobs in pharmaceutical companies, research labs and institutions in India.
