Options after B.Tech biotechnology:
1. M.Tech/M.Sc (biotechnology, microbiology, biochemistry, bio process engineering, oncology, food technology and many more). Biotechnology is a research oriented field so you have lots of options after your Bachelors in biotechnology. GATE is a good option for you to get enter into the best Indian colleges like IITs, IIScs, NITs and other reputed colleges. (These colleges will give wings to your career). If you want to pursue your Masters from foreign universities than you can prepare for GRE.
2. CSIR- UGC NET and DBT BET. You can give these two examinations after your M.Tech and B.Tech respectively

Advantages of doing MBA after B.Tech Biotechnology:
1. You get a command over two disciplines - Management and Biotechnology
2. Therefore, your scope of getting placed widens as you are suitable for the managerial job as well.
The only disadvantage of doing MBA after B.Tech Biotechnology is that you get detached from your graduation field as management has nothing to do with biotechnology.

You should consult with the admission authorities of your school if lateral entries are permitted from one department to another. If you have a good academic record, it should help you in getting a lateral transfer. You should block a seat in the other department before giving up your seat in your B.Tech degree. Good Luck!!

If you want to pursue B.Tech, there is no country which comes close to the standard/quality of education imparted other than India. Affordable colleges, healthy competition, and precious life experiences which enrich any B.Tech education can be found in India. Although an education in the US and other countries may seem tempting, I would say save it for your Masters.
