Placements: In 2015-16, the placement was 30% and in 2016-17, it has gone up to 50%. The average salary is 3 lacs and the max. Is 8 Lacs for chemical engineering specialisation. The lowest is 1.8 Lacs per annum. The companies that visited for Pharma sector based jobs for chemical engineering students are Reliance, Honeywell, Filtra Consultancy, Accenture, PolyOne, Kingfa, Praxair, Pfizer, Ranbaxy, etc. For 2015-16 batch, The chemical department had the least number of placements. Only a few companies visit each year like Honeywell, Uhde India, Reliance, Volkswagen, etc. The toppers are always preferred. Mu Sigma also visits, which is an added advantage to the one who has the goal to work in a corporate company.

To my surprise, a large number of core companies came to the campus which is shocking because usually this is not seen in any other college you're almost 50% of the students in every batch is placed in corporate IT companies. The core companies which visited the campus during the placement season offer packages of nothing less than 12 Lacs per annum and large number of students are also offered foreign training opportunities which is something really big for an electrical engineering student. The placement in other branches like mechanical was even better than and comparison to electrical engineering branch which has more number of core companies visiting for recruitment.

Chemical engineering deals with the design, development of processes and operation of machines and plants through which the physical or chemical state of materials undergo various changes. The placement in our college has been good even during the worst of market times. Coming to the average package and the highest one, the average package is around 3.5 Lacs and the highest package last year offered was 27 Lacs by Amazon. We have many companies visiting our campus from Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Deloitte, etc. The placements are better in CSE as compared to others. The placements are decent where each and every student is placed. Also in computer Science percentage offers made are sometimes as high as 200%. Companies like Goldman Sachs, Deloitte amazon visit the campus. Also a lot of startups show up for hiring students so for a person who wants opportunities on his plate, startups are a way to go here.

B.Tech in biotechnology from GGSIPU's colleges drive the industries in many areas like Pharma, healthcare, instrumentation, clinical research; and the related services. The candidates opting for jobs get to chose from the widest array of profiles available in the industry. The students who are not interested in research opt for these profiles and become part of the business of biotechnology. The college has a reputation maintained for excellence in the course offered particularly for undergraduate courses. The placements are higher in almost every branch. For civil engineering branch, one can expect an average placement package of around Rs 4 Lacs considering the placement record in the year 2016. Also, the highest placement package obtained by a student of the batch 2017 in the civil department was Rs 17.5 Lacs by VGN which happened to take only 4 students from the whole batch. The number of core companies coming for placements in the college is less for the civil department. The reason why I would not recommend you to go for admission in the college particularly in the civil branch unless you don't have any other better option to pursue civil engineering.

Some of the reputable names are Huawei, Ericsson, IBM, VMware, Cisco with international offers as well. Training and placement cell of the university achieved noticeable success in helping the students to reach their avenues. A total of 506 students have been successfully placed with attractive salary packages in reputed national and international organizations during last academic session. Average Salary is 4 LPA and median is 6 LPA. Around 90-95% of students from CSE/IT department gets placed in some or the other companies. The package could be as low as 2.8 Lacs or it could be high as 25 Lacs (although only 2 students got that in the entire history), but students at least got a job. Few of the reputed (core CSE) companies which visited the campus in the past few years are Adobe, Amazon, HP, Hike Messenger, etc. Other than this, there are certain other companies such as Ivy Computech, Josh Technologies which also provide a handsome salary. The mass recruiters such as Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant visits every year to recruit a bulk of students. Most of the companies which visit the campus are CSE or IT companies so these two branches have a huge number of opportunities here.
