Placements: In 2015-16, the placement was 30% and in 2016-17, it has gone up to 50%. The average salary is 3 lacs and the max. Is 8 Lacs for chemical engineering specialisation. The lowest is 1.8 Lacs per annum. The companies that visited for Pharma sector based jobs for chemical engineering students are Reliance, Honeywell, Filtra Consultancy, Accenture, PolyOne, Kingfa, Praxair, Pfizer, Ranbaxy, etc. For 2015-16 batch, The chemical department had the least number of placements. To my surprise, a large number of core companies came to the campus which is shocking because usually this is not seen in any other college you're almost 50% of the students in every batch is placed in corporate IT companies. The core companies which visited the campus during the placement season offer packages of nothing less than 12 Lacs per annum and large number of students are also offered foreign training opportunities which is something really big for an electrical engineering student. Chemical engineering deals with the design, development of processes and operation of machines and plants through which the physical or chemical state of materials undergo various changes. Reliance Chemicals- 11 students (approximately. 6 Lacs PA)

Thermax - 2 students (approximately 7 LPA)

The placement in our college has been good even during the worst of market times. Coming to the average package and the highest one, the average package is around 3.5 Lacs and the highest package last year offered was 27 Lacs by Amazon. We have many companies visiting our campus from Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Deloitte, etc. The placements are better in CSE as compared to others. The placements are decent where each and every student is placed. Also in computer Science percentage offers made are sometimes as high as 200%. The college has a reputation maintained for excellence in the course offered particularly for undergraduate courses. The placements are higher in almost every branch. For civil engineering branch, one can expect an average placement package of around Rs 4 Lacs considering the placement record in the year 2016. Also, the highest placement package obtained by a student of the batch 2017 in the civil department was Rs 17.5 Lacs by VGN which happened to take only 4 students from the whole batch. Around 90-95% of students from CSE/IT department gets placed in some or the other companies. The package could be as low as 2.8 Lacs or it could be high as 25 Lacs (although only 2 students got that in the entire history), but students at least got a job.
