These are the major entrance exams in India for Msc or integrated Ph.D. (or direct Ph.D. in some cases) in India.
JAM
Opportunities abroad (Physics GRE, General GRE, IELTS and TOFEL etc)
TIFR GS(Integrated Ph.D. paper)
University entrance tests.
MS by research programs
JEST
TIFR Hyderabad
GATE
CSIR NET
The three exams JEST, GATE, and NET have syllabus of Msc+Bsc. All other mentioned above are conducted on Bsc level syllabus and are easier for us Engineers with less physics background to crack.
JAM exam: This is conducted by IITs as an entrance test to Msc and integrated Ph.D. in IITs and IISC. Also, some IISERs take jam rankers to integrated Ph.D

Hello Pavitra, There are many students who strive to do this. But to imagine what CTC would be six years into future is sheer dreaming. What I can say is that placements ex IIT would be quite good even at that point in time.

Hi there, I am a third year B.Tech CSE student at NIIT University. Students from NIIT University get placed at the top-notch companies of the country. Last year the placement record was 100%. For placements we had companies like Amazon, IBM, CTS, ZENSAR, PWC, Big Basket, Tech Mahindra etc. With the highest domestic package of 11 Lacs last year and the highest international package was 47.95 Lacs. Master of Technology (M.Tech) is the advancement in this field through which you are particularly specialised in one area. Some candidates also choose MBA after B.Tech. One can also opt teaching field and become professor after M.Tech. Candidates can also pursue higher studies along with job. Yes. You can. One of my students, after her B.Tech in IT, did her course in Fashion Designing. The eligibility for such courses is graduation to do Masters. On the basis of your 12th, you can so a bachelor's course but that would not be needed as you already possess an engineering degree.
