NIT Sikkim BTech programme isn’t ranked internationally. However the BTEch programmehas been ranked under National Institutional Ranking Framework, NIRF. NIRF is an approved by the MHRD and was launched by Honourable Minister of Human Resource Development on 29^th of September 2015. The NIRF has ranked NIT Sikkim’s BTech programme 173^rd among top engineering colleges in India.

NIT Sikkim offers BTech programmes with a duration for four years. BTech programme at NIT Sikkim is offered in five specialisations namely Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering. For admission to BTech programme candidates need to take the JEE Main exam and aslo secure minimum 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWS) in class 12 exam.

Computer Science Engineering is the most popular specialisation under BTech programme in NIT Sikkim. The cutoff for BTech CSE was 30095 in 2021 which increased to 34085 in 2023. Yes, it is 100% possible to get into IIT Jammu for BTech with a JEE Advanced rank equal to or less than 12000. However, the same is not possible across all specialisations. General category students of All India Category can get into BTech in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical and Materials Engineering branch if we go by the closing ranks of 2023. For more clarity on the IIT Jammu R1 and R6 closing ranks of BTech specialisations which are possible to get into with a rank such as 12000:

Class 12 with a 60% aggregate in the Science stream is the basic eligibility for BTech at IFHE Hyderabad. Only the students who meet this criteria are eligible for admission. In addition, candidates must also hold the Class 12 mark sheet (original and photocopy).

Students seeking admission to IIT Gandhinagar for BTech are required to apply for both JEE Main and JEE Advanced.

• BTech aspirants must fill out the application form for JEE (Main) through the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) (nta.ac.in). The application fee for boys is INR 625 and INR 325 for girls. Read more

Yes, you can join B.Tech after the diploma. You have to write an exam called ECET which will be based on the core subjects related to the Diploma course that which you have to choose, along with that MPC questions (polytechnic level only). 

KLE Dr. M.S.Sheshgiri College of Engineering and Technology will release 2-3 rounds of COMEDK cutoffs for admission to BTech. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors:

The COMEDK score of the candidate
The category of the candidate
The number of seats available in the course
