Chose SRM to pursue your higher studies.
Placements: As per my knowledge, SRM placements in 2024 had the highest package of 52 LPA and an average package of up to 7.19 LPA. Over 980 companies visited, making more than 5,546 offers. We had a good mix of companies show up, ranging from core engineering to IT and even some management roles.
Infrastructure: Alright, so talking about the infrastructure, I would give a solid 4 out of 5 stars because our department had pretty decent facilities. Wi-Fi facility was usually reliable, which was a lifesaver for assignments and research. Labs were generally well-maintained and had the equipment we needed for practical work.
Faculty: So, for faculty members, curriculum, and exams, I'd probably give it a 4. Some of teachers were absolutely brilliant, really passionate about their subject, but then there were others who clearly just phoned it in, you know. The curriculum itself was alright, mostly up to date, though some courses felt a little irrelevant to the real world. As for exams, they tested what you needed to know, but the format could be a bit archaic at times. It definitely could used some modernization there.

I have a well-rounded college experience with good opportunities.
Placements: At SRMIST KTR, around 85-90% of eligible students from the CSE and IT departments get placed every year. The highest package is 44 LPA by Amazon, and the average package ranges from 5-6 LPA. Mass recruiters like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, and Cognizant regularly visit the college. Product-based companies like Soho, Cisco, and Adobe also hire students from the college. About 60-70% of students manage to get internships in the 3rd year itself.
Infrastructure: The campus is huge and well-maintained. Classrooms are smart, and labs are equipped with the latest systems. The library is digital-friendly with a thousand journals. Campus-wide Wi-Fi is provided, though the speed varies. Hostel life is decent, and rooms are not that spacious but cleaned regularly, and AC options are also fine. Food in the mess is average, but there are many food courts on the campus. Medical facilities are accessible 24x7, and I am thankful to the SRM hospital. The campus also has excellent sports facilities for football, basketball, cricket, and a gym.
Faculty: Many faculty members are knowledgeable but aren't supportive except for some of them. Some of them just teach by reading the PPT. In the end, we have to prepare all on our own. The course curriculum is updated regularly to include trending topics like AI, ML, IoT, and Cybersecurity. SRM also offers open electives and industry electives to enhance learning. Exams are moderately tough if we are consistent in our internals and given assignments. The pass percentage is quite high, but scoring well requires regular study.

Below average, poor ROI. Infrastructure is also average. Faculty is very strict in some aspects.
Placements: SRM NCR campus has a below average placement. We have seen our seniors struggling for a better placement. The average package of last year was just 4-5 LPA. It doesn't really justify the ROI, as the fees is Rs. 3 LPA per annum for B. Tech, but the package is very less.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is just fine, nothing too extravagant. The building is very small, and Wi-Fi is very poor. Only the computer labs are well designed and maintained, but not everyone is allowed to enter the labs. Only the first year students are allowed to go there, and from second year onwards, the students are shifted to different labs, with low-quality equipment and gadgets.
Faculty: Some of the faculty members are really good and friendly, but as you reach the second year, some of them become very rude and unapproachable. They often hold grudges against the whole class and do the marks evaluation very unfairly. The faculty is also biased for girls' dress code, as girls are not allowed to wear crop tops. There are various strict rules, like, you can't leave the campus before lunch. The guards don't allow you to go outside the campus before lunch. Also, if you don't attend the classes, they send SMS to your parents stating that you were absent in XYZ lectures.
Other: There are very few events held at our college. There aren't any fests, where we invite celebs and do the events on a large scale. Only small-scale events are held, that too, only twice or thrice a year.

SRM IST KTR, Chennai is very good for B.Tech. The weather is a bit nah if you are from North India.
Placements: There is 99% placement, and the average package is around 10 LPA. MAANG companies are the top hiring companies. The top courses are CSE, EEE, and ECE. JP Morgan, Wells Fargo, and Citibank offer internships. TCS and IBM come for mass recruitment. But, you need to maintain a CGPA above 8.5 to get good offers.
Infrastructure: Very good. All blocks have lifts and AC. Classrooms are well-equipped with projectors, smartboards, and long green boards. The campus spans 250 acres and is full of flora and fauna. Hostels are neat and clean, room service is very good, and security is very good.
Faculty: Teachers are really nice and help you with your studies. Most faculty members have Ph.D.s and focus more on hands-on experience than theory. We have many internal subjects that help students learn via working on projects and research. If you pay attention in classes throughout the semester, you will find the semester exams very easy.
Other: I chose CSE Core as I am interested in computers but am not sure which specific branch to go for, so CSE Core is the best option. There are lots of fests happening, and extracurricular activities are active.

The main thing I would like to mention here is the library, over 4 lakhs books are there in library.
Placements: From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Top companies like Amazon, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, HUL, HCL, and so on. I got offers from 2 companies Infosys and Base Automation Technologies. The highest package is 51 LPA, and the average package is 3 LPA to 5 LPA. 90% of people are easily getting placed. Plans after getting the placements are to work.
Infrastructure: The main thing I would like to mention here is library, over 4 lakhs books are placed in library including IAS, IFS, IPS, central and state government aspirants can also use them. The gym is overall good. Campus timing is 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM depending on the day, order, and departments. Security is very strict here so students can't do any unnecessary activities on the campus.
Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio is overall good. The relationship between the students and faculty members is very good. My best faculty is Dr. Kirigalan, he is a good professor and he is always open to help students after college time also. The course is well structured. We can expect 7 to 8 subjects for each semester and everything is easy to clear.
Other: Milan and Aarush are the famous events in our college. Around 20 to 30 festivals will happen here because here all the state students are studying that's the main reason. The facilities and technology provisions in the classrooms are projectors, LED displays like smart televisions, AC, and so on.

Decent infrastructure but not good teachers.
Placements: I personally am in CSE AIML, so we got 100% placement last year. The highest package was 50 LPA, as far as I know. Don't quote me on that though. All the big companies come to recruit here. The average package is 20 LPA, and again don't quote me on that. I do not know the internship percentage because they don't give that, and the market is also down, so it's hard to get internships now.
Infrastructure: Hostels are decent enough, food is garbage as expected in hostels. Facilities are decent like the library, which has books and space, but there are just too many students, so getting a seat is rare. Medical facilities are good as we have a hospital in our college only. We have a big ground, but it is far from the hostels, so yes, too much hassle going there.
Faculty: Marks are given based on whatever the teacher feels at the moment. You can't do anything about it. It solely depends on the teachers, and the internal marks given by them constitute 60% of the total marks. So yes, you need to be the teacher's pet for the marks; otherwise, you won't get good marks.
