Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 45% overall in the qualifying exam. Candidates who fall under the SC/ST categories are given a mark relaxation to 40%. They also require a valid JEE score, which depends upon the cutoff for the particular year.

IIIT Sri City is known for its flagship programme of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) in the B.Tech program. The cutoff range for the CSE branch of the B.Tech programme is 13902 to 18513 in the JoSAA Counselling. Cutoff for ECE will be nearly 29000. This year the expected cutoff can be between 7700 to 27000 based on JEE main.The students should write JEE Mains exam to get admission into the college. Based on the percentiles the ranks will be given and the college will take the admissions based on the rank. So nearly 98.5 percentile will be good percentile to get good rank according to the college cutoff.
