Undoubtedly, IIT Mumbai enjoys the luxury of excellent location. It has beaches, it is a Bollywood hub, and it has great places to visit. Mumbai is the Financial Capital of India and draws more employers than any other IIT. IIT Delhi comes a close next but IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur and IIT Kharagpur are far below in the scale of location value. Living in a metro has its perks like better connectivity and better hostels. You must fall under the OBC-NCL category, I'm certain. You did pretty well in this category relative to the National Testing Agency's cutoff, which is around 67. This suggests to me that you have a strong Probability of being admitted to CSE. Based on your success in this exam, Shiksha has developed a college predictor that will assist you in determining the branch and college you will be admitted to.

In India today, getting admission without taking any kind of CET is nearly difficult. Of course, a student can get admitted to a school in Tamilnadu based only on their grade point average from their 12th grade exam. Additionally, some institutions that are considered to be universities such as the renowned BITS admit 12th-grade rank holders without the need for ACET. You might consider private engineering colleges with management quota seats for admission without ACET.

Despite the fact that you haven't explicitly said it this way, I must guess that you did fairly well in the JEE Mains examination. Fortunately for you, the minimum 12th grade point average criteria has been waived for this year's admissions procedure, thus you should be qualified to apply. Hope it's helpful. I wish you luck.

Admissions to the computer engineering branch are always very competitive and close at very high percentiles, rankings, or percentages, depending on how you want to phrase it. There are many websites online that will provide you with the closing percentage of this branch for first-year admissions based on various entrance exams held around India for various universities. However, such closing ranks for lateral entrance admissions that are primarily dependent on the grades earned in the Diploma or not readily available.
