If you're a general student then you will not get good nits and you should give other entrance exams like BITSAT and WBJEE.

The government job options after Polytechnic includes-
Junior Engineer, IT Assistant, PSU jobs, Clerk, Technician, etc. BSNL, BHEL, GAIL, Railways, ONGC, DRDO, IPCL, PSU, etc. The last job option for the students after Polytechnic is to start their own company and become self- employed.

During graduation in my final year my friends used to earn amount by working as a freelancer on internet. The freelancer work could be easily managed in weekend and was able to provide them a handsome amount. Also one can earn by teaching in coaching classes for competitive exams and boards.
