Dear Virendra, I have no idea about all the universities but being alumni of LPU, I can share the details of ME at LPU. LPU is good for Mechanical Engineering. Good placements in core companies as well as multinational companies. Other than participating in various events like Go Kart, project expo, entertainment events like One India, One World, etc. Practical-based learning, live projects, and valuable sessions rendered by industry experts create a larger spectrum of learning. LPU provides ample job opportunities to each and every student to secure a good placement. Zee News Survey rated us as 11th Best in India in Placements. Top companies visited for placements are Volkswagon, Voltas, Anglo-Eastern Ship Mgt. , Asahi India, Rockman (Hero group), Dharam Consulting, Samundra, Indo-MIM, Sandhar Technologies, JK Lakshmi Cement, Maruti, Lava, XL Dynamics, Asahi India, Cleanmax Solar, Elgi Equipments, etc. Apart from their placements, LPU also provides rich support to its students to focus on their entrepreneurship projects that can help the student set up their own start-ups. LPU provides SEED money for prospective projects proposed by the students. This encourages the concept of made in India more strongly. That is not at all true and misleading. Placements at LPU are great and people are recruited for high positions. This is what is looks like having placed at LPU looks like. Placements: Top recruiting companies are Tata, Rallis India Limited, Syngenta, and Reliance Stores. All batch members got a decent number of internship opportunities. Almost 50% of the aspirants get the opportunity to do internships in companies like EduCase, Intello Labs Pvt Ltd, and Syngenta. The top roles offered in the course are sales trainee officer and field officer. Several Big Brands of the industry visit the LPU campus for campus placements. Most of the companies have made us the regional hubs for joint campuses. Students have been offered as high as 20 LPA. LPU provides performance Enhancement classes just for its students to become more capable and get placed at good places. Faculty: Teaching quality is promising. Students get highly qualified faculty members. They teach them deep insights into the course with theoretical and practical knowledge. They are always helpful in needy situations related to academics as well as personal. They are knowledgeable. The curriculum provided is relevant to the outside environment of the agriculture sector. Every year the university is adding new courses to compete in the changing world. This is about the academics and I hope the misconception is cleared now.

As some of my friends graduated from LPU would surely recommend LPU. Let me share the course and the department highlights as shared by them. The school has well qualified and experienced faculty members with specialisation in various fields like, Aerospace Engineering, Automobile Engineering, CAD/CAM, Engineering Design, Industrial Engineering, Machine Tool Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Metallurgy, Robotics, Thermal Engineering, etc. Student has an Automobile club under Society of Automobiles India, Under which the teams has participated in various competitions by making there vehicle in Supra SAE (Student Formula CAR), Baja SAE India, BAJA SAE USA, Efficycle. Organized International Go kart Championship which is a student initiated automotive event the first international event of its kind receiving participation from all over ASIA. Students gets hands on practice in labs and workshops like Advance machine shop, nontraditional and computer aided manufacturing laboratory, Automobile engineering Lab, IC Engine Lab, Mechanical Measurement and Metrology, Strength of Material Lab, Theory Of Machines/Dynamic Of Machines Lab, Thermal/Heat Transfer Lab, finite element methods laboratory, engineering graphics laboratory, object oriented programming laboratory, computer aided design and analysis laboratory, basic simulation laboratory, Propulsion Lab, Aerodynamics Lab, Welding Shop, Pattern Making Shop, Foundry shop, advanced design laboratory and engineering drawing lab. So far the students have been placed in the companies like Asahi Glass India Ltd.
