Hello Faisal Aziz, admissions under lateral scheme in engineering colleges is invariably based on merit only. Marks obtained in Diploma examinations are the besis for admission in majority of the states. Ranking is decided on these marks and subsequent admissions. Hello Ravi Saddala, normally speaking any government or other advertisement normally allows final year students to appear for such entrance examinations and interviews also. But then again they normally specify that if the results are not declared by a particular date then your candidature will be declared as null and void. In view of this, I would recommend that please go through the advertisement meticulously and look for such announcements or points in the advertisement. In some cases however, the agencies insist that only those candidates can apply who already have passed the qualifying examination and can upload the mark list or C

Dear Pallavi, I cannot say anything about Chitkara University, but if I talk about LPU, then mechanical engineering at LPU is the best option. My friend did ME at LPU and now settled in his life. Hello Taniya Shah, I am afraid you seems to be ineligible at least presently to seek admission in engineering colleges. This is so since, mathematics is considered as compulsory irrespective of branch. There is a choice for Chemistry. Student could take Biology instead.
