Hello Diamond,
Your year of passing remains 2016 when you must have cleared last of your backlogs. You can call yourself from the batch of 2009 since you joined then but as you cleared your last paper in 2016, it is your year of passing.

Hello Nitesh Kumar,
It is very nice to hear from you that you are interested in doing your graduation in engineering after Diploma via distance education mode. Unfortunately, UGC has clarified only recently that there is no permission for doing professional courses in distance mode of learning. Hence, I would strongly advise you to not think on these lines. However, you can surely think of joining regular college. Best wishes to you.

No, you can not take admission in SVNIT without appearing in JEE-Main. All the B.Tech admission in NITs are done on the basis of ranks obtained in JEE-Main. However, you are entitled for 5% reservation quota in your category for admission.

You can take admission through 2 different modes in Thapar. Mode 1 - 70 % seat will be filled by JEE Mains merit. Mode 2 - 30 % seat will be filled by 10 + 2 merit. Last date of online form submission is 29 April 2019. Minimum eligibility criteria, you have a minimum of 60 % marks in your 12.
