No, it is not mandatory to have commerce stream to apply for this course. This course is more like B.Com, but it does not contain the subjects in the depth and it is more related to management.

The hostels here in Banasthali gets changed every year. The hostels are all renovated with good mess facilities. There is no assurance, which particular hostel you will get. But, I can guarantee that B.Tech students are given one of the best hostels here.

As per your question, i highly recommend TIET (Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology) for b.tech studies. They have a very good faculty which is highly educated and experienced in their respective field with the extensive understanding of the industry.
If we talk about programmes so they are offering best industry courses like: B.Tech Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering etc.
I think You should go for Thapar University. Here is why?

It is uncommon to teach python in B.Tech course. The main aim of most engineering colleges to make it's student marketable after completing the 4 years here. In B. Tech, you will be taught C in 1st year. Java or C+ in 2nd or 3rd year to understand the object oriented technique (method), and not the language itself.

Apply for exams like GRE and GMAT. And after you get a score start applying for foreign universities, some colleges require TOEFL score too. So, keep that in mind. You can also try for scholarships if you have an extraordinary resume. There are Facebook groups for foreign students for specific countries. Try joining it, you will get better help.

No, you will easily catch up. Most of students in B Tech are like you. College teaches you from the very basic and in the first semester there is not even any programming language. So you can easily learn. No worries.
