Yes, of course. For IT jobs, you need to be a bit specialised in any of the programming languages like C, C+, Java, Python, etc. During placements, they generally have an aptitude examination and coding round and then HR round. So, coding is necessary. Your stream doesn't matter, but your knowledge matters. You would be dumbfounded to hear that even core department students like mechanical and electrical engineering students get placed in IT companies.

Hello,
Hope you are doing well. It depends upon the marks you have secured in JEE Mains which are applicable for your state college. I can't share the list of college because I don't know your state. If you want to go with 12th percentage then there will be some college who will allow students to come with a 12th percentage.

Yes, you can easily do that, but in that case, the main problem that you face will be that you will not able to compete with the students who have done their Bachelors in English itself.

It will mainly depend on the skills you have. There are many examples of the BBA students earning more than the engineers and vice versa. So, it mainly depends on your skills.

According to me, it's better to go for Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College.
Reasons:
1. Government college (low fee structure)
2. Good faculty members
3. Good placements.

Sorry, but you can't get into Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College because Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College and other state government engineering colleges take admission via WBJEE rank and no other means.
