In order to be admitted to Sastra University's BTech programme, applicants need to fulfil the following requirements: In their Class 12 exams, they had to have received at least a 60% overall in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Biology from an accredited board. The entire course cost for Sastra University's BTech curriculum is between INR 4.7 Lacs to INR 7.7 lakhs. Sastra University provides integrated M.Tech programmes spanning two specialisations and BTech programmes across 23 specialisations. There are eight semesters and four years between the programmes. 70% of the places in all of these courses at Satra University are filled by JEE Main scores, with Class 12 scores accounting for the remaining 30% of seats.

One of Nirma University's BTech specialisations is computer Science engineering. There is only one admissions process for all BTech programmes. A minimum of 50% in 10+2 is required for admission to Anna University's BE programme, in addition to taking the TNEA. Graduates in BE typically earn between 4.5 and 5.5 LPA, with the potential to reach 8 LPA. For BE/BTech admission, Anna University does not accept JEE Main marks; instead, admission is determined by TNEA counselling. Backward class students at Anna University are granted a 15% reservation in BE, along with other waivers for fee and minimum mark relaxations. Because of its breadth and employment prospects, biomedical engineering is the most popular engineering department at Anna University. For Tamil Nadu students, there is an additional cost reduction; nevertheless, verification of the residence certificate is necessary.
