The cutt off details are usually released after entrance exams and admission process which are merit based and University's own entrance exams based.

The time involved in the BTech in ECE entrance exam preparation depends on the student preparing for the same. You should start as early as possible so that you have enough time to go through all the sections of the exam syllabus and revise thoroughly. You should start your preparation at least 6 to 8 months before the final exam is scheduled to get excellent marks and rank in the entrance test.

You can definitely get lateral entry admission to BTech in ECE after completing a 3-year engineering Diploma in ECE, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with at least 50% marks. Further, you need to give relevant lateral entry admission tests either conducted by the state or the university itself.
The lateral entry provision allows you to directly enter into the 2nd year of BTech Electronics and Communication Engineering, completing your B Tech degree in 3 years.

The relevant cutoff data changes according to the category system for students pursuing B.Tech. Computer Science Engineering at LNMIIT. The JEE Main cutoff percentile for general category stands at 98 or 170 marks and for general EWS at 150 marks or 96 percentile. Students belonging to the OBC category require marks between 135-140 along with 90-92 percentile while students from SC category need 115-120 marks combined with 83-85 percentile and students from ST category require 100-115 marks with 77-82 percentile. The admissions depends upon the cutoff in KCET rank of 1,00,000. You can get admission in Belgaum's Maratha mandal Engineering College, KLE Dr. M.s. Sheshgiri College, or Angadi Institute of Technology. It is advisable to check the other colleges with more cutoffs.
