Fashion design is hardcore designing, research, cloth production, textile designing, etc. The fashion designers may join fashion houses/manufacturing/export units for a paid job or launch their own label in the market. Creating new products with regard to the latest trends prevailing in the market, the designers are key players in the fashion industry.
Fashion communication, on the other hand, is about communicating and promoting your fashion brand.The curriculum includes areas such as graphic design, visual merchandising/retail experience design, exhibition and display design, event management, photography, styling, advertising, public relations and creative writing specific to fashion and lifestyle industry. As a fashion communication professional, you can work as a fashion writer, fashion journalist, photographer, PR professional and alike.
