There are a wide number of options that an interior designer can choose to work in depending on the person's talent, capability, creativity and liking.
The basic eligibility to join interior design course is to pass 12th in any stream with minimum 50%. There is no age limit. Admission will be on the basis of the score in the institute's entrance exam and interview thereafter.
The admission procedure will be different for different colleges.
However, admission to B.Des course will be based on the marks obtained in the senior secondary examination or entrance test conducted by the relevant institution.

You have not mentioned about your basic qualification i.e. SSC or +2. However, I am furnishing the following information to take a decision: After completion of +2 you are eligible to do 3 yr degree in hotel management affiliated to Osmania University. Please inform your basic qualification The fee structure is Rs.75000/- per year payable in two instalments. In addition, you have to pay at the time of admission Rs.8500/- towards uniform for 3 years and Rs.2800/- towards registration fee. We have hostel facility in the same campus on payment of Rs.2500/- pm for accommodation and food. For SC/ST/

You also have the other option if you want to go for engineering. You can take admission in any Diploma course and when you will clear your maths, then you can transfer your course from dip

Private universities are also established by passing an Act in state legislature and with UGC approval hence they are valid
However, private universities have very limited power while awarding their degree. For instances, if they award degree through distance learning, off campus and outside the campus where they have approval, such degrees are invalid. So you must ensure, you are pursuing such degrees from their campus only as mentioned in UGC website
Second, in India except very few, handful private universities rest all are disastrous and very poor in quality and more focussed on selling degrees

There is no such requirement that candidates must be B.sc or B.A. or esle.Only graduation in any field even Engineering.
Just select the course in which you will be able to provide your best time and effort.Select that subject which would be easy for you to handle wisely.
