In hotel business - chefs and the food/beverage experts are the one of the highest paid staffs. They have a great scope everywhere. The front office managements comes in the next category.
Any diploma, degree or MBA from India will only help in getting jobs in Indian hotels. But, if you have plans to work abroad, you have to qualify with that country's degree/diploma to get job there.
Australia, Canada has good scope. USA & UK are also good but the supply ratio is more than the demand there. So, unless you are really good, it is going to be very hard to sustain.

If you have a passion for cooking and enjoy experimenting with recipes then you are cut for becoming a chef. Cooking is just one small aspect of a chef's job. Running a full fledged commercial kitchen requires dedication, patience and exceptional mental strength (not to mention being extremely competent and up to date about the happenings in the culinary world). Besides being a good cook, you need to be a good man and money manager.
