BHU M.Sc admission 2022 is open now. From this year onwards, admission to all M.Sc courses will be done through Common University Entrance Test (CUET PG) conducted by NTA. CUET PG 2022 exam dates have been announced, the exam will be held from September 1-7 and September 9-11. For the final selection, marks obtained in the CUET PG exam will be considered.
The Faculty of Science at BHU offers a four-semester program for the degree of M.Sc. and a six-semester program for M.Sc. (Tech.).

The minimum criteria or requirement to apply for a M.Sc. degree at BHU is a Bachelors degree under the 10+2+3 pattern of education with at least 50% marks in aggregate in Science subjects.
Admission to all the M.Sc., M.Sc. (Tech.) at BHU is based on scores obtained in CUET PG followed by counselling.

securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in the subjects Physics Maths plus any one
of the following: Chemistry Statistics Geology, Computer Science, Informatics practices and
Geography and must have passed in each of the concerned three subjects (as supported by the
Certificate issued by the Examining body). AGE: Age should not be more than 22 years on 1st July of the admission year. The Department of Mathematics was founded in 1898 as a part of the Central Hindu College at Kamachha much before the establishment of the Banaras Hindu University in 1916. Subsequently in 1917, Department of Mathematics along with the Central Hindu College was transferred to the Banaras Hindu University. The Department had the privilege of having had eminent scholars like Prof. V. Narlikar, Prof. Ganesh Prasad, Prof. R. Vaidyanath Swamy and Prof. R. S. Mishra on its faculty. The teachers of the Department have been receiving national and international recognition and financial support for their high quality research. The Department has made notable research contributions in the areas of Functional Analysis, Geometry, Relativity, Mathematical Programming, Topology, Fluid Mechanics and Fuzzy Mathematics.
