However, to make a career in banking, you must be good at analyzing numbers, that is, your mathematics must be strong enough to interpret and analyse numerical data. Banking is one of the most sought after career choice among the students. It is an entry into a well paid, secure and status career.
Public sector banks recruit candidates at 2 levels- the officer level and the clerical level. After XII (Commerce or any subject) Graduation followed by banking examination for Probationary officers can be taken.

No, there is no relationship of any course for banking except your course comes under their eligibility criteria.
Yes, I will be a good decision since this sector is not dependent on your course. you just have to give IBPS/Exam for individual banks and get good score, thats it.
You also can then pursue MBA for getting promotions or switching to other banks.
Avg salary of a Bank cleark is 2.5 lakh per annum
Avg salary of a Bank PO is 4.2 lakh per annum.
