MBA Banking and Finance is definitely not the last word, we have programmes in actuarial sciences as well. M Com too has not lost its charm. Qualifications are prescribed by banking /concerned authorities for entry as probationary officers and clerks, be it a graduation or post graduation. We have engineering graduates employed and occupying significant and responsible postitions in almost every bank. But it has been found that somenew generation banks, especially HDFC and ICICI tend to prefer MBA qualifieds.
