UT Austin is more popular and top-ranked university than Baylor University. The University of Texas at Austin cost ranges from INR 13 L to INR 76 L, while the Baylor University cost is INR 33 L to INR 46 L for first-year. The University of Texas at Austin ranking is among the top 100 in the world, while the Baylor University ranking is 1000+ in the world. There are several reasons why Indian students choose to study at Baylor University. Baylor's Indian Subcontinent Student Association (ISSA) is the largest multicultural organisation on campus, providing unity among students of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Afghanistan, and Myanmar while also providing all Baylor University students the opportunity to experience basic Indian Subcontinent culture. Another reason is the academic opportunities available, with Indian students mostly preferring business and computer science courses due to their good placement opportunities.

Eligibility for merit-based scholarships at Baylor University is automatic for all admitted students who submit a complete application by the specified deadlines. No additional application is required for merit-based scholarships, which are based on a full review of the applicant's comprehensive high school academic performance and completed Baylor application file. Test scores are not taken into account for the scholarship review process for students applying for the upcoming academic year. Renewal of merit-based scholarships is contingent upon maintaining a Baylor cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
