To be enrolled in a BCom course at Kumaun University and its affiliated colleges, candidates are required to meet the basic eligibility requirements first, which require course applicants to complete their Class 12/ higher senior secondary with a reasonable percentage, ideally in the Commerce stream. Also, candidates should apply for the course at the official website of the University. The University prepares the merit of shortlisted candidates based on their percentage achieved in Class 12. Candidates who have been shortlisted can check their names and subsequently pay the course fee to secure their seat.

Admissions to the Kumaun University BBA are merit-based. Candidates must have Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 40% to 50%  aggregate in the relevant stream from a recognised board of education. Eligible candidates can apply directly through the official website of the university. For the admission process, the university releases the merit on the basis of candidates' achieved scores in Class 12 or equivalent.

Kumaun University offers a total number of 1,110 seats. On the other hand, the Doon University only offers 50 seats for the BBA course. The reason for this big difference in seat intake is because Kumaun University is affiliated with around 12 colleges that offer BBA courses in general and honors degrees. However, Doon University does not offer BBA courses with affiliated colleges.

The median package offered to BBA graduates at Kumaun University is not released yet. However, as per the NIRF report 2024, the median package offered during Kumaun University UG three-year placements in 2023 stood at INR 1.2 LPA. According to the comparison of placement statistics for the years 2022 and 2023, it can be seen that the median package was improved. Therefore, it can be expected that this year too, the median package might improve.
