No, the eligibility for MCA is any graduate who has passed or appearing for the final year degree examination in any discipline (science, commerce, arts or engineering from any approved university) is eligible to apply. Candidates must have mathematics as a subject in their 10+2 course or any one year of graduation.

Hi Prakash!
It depends where your interest lies. Both the fields have an immense scope. It's upto you which field attracts you the most. If a career in Information and Technology appeals you more, and you think you have techie's brain, you should go for BCA. If you think you are creative and writing, editing, photography, film, animation, design and other aspects of the media attract you more, you should go for a career in visual communication.

70% is a good score but for BCA, you need to have above 80% but there is a chance.

For lateral entry, a student must have passed 10+2 and have done a computer course of minimum 6 months duration. Students with a three year Diploma in IT from State Board of Technical Education are also eligible for lateral entry to BCA programme.

Yes, because according to university norms, students who have passed 10+2 examination with minimum 45% of aggregate marks (40% for SC and ST Candidates) in any stream are qualified to opt for BCA course.

Eligibility for admission in Jamia Hamdard University is that you have passed Senior Secondary (12th Standard/Intermediate) examination with mathematics securing at least 50% marks.
